What you should know before you go
Unusual and useful: a drift session and a car meet run side by side, and the meet slot is priced separately at ¥2,500, so someone who does not drive still has a legitimate, published way to be inside the event with lunch. Held on Okuibuki’s 3rd and 4th car parks rather than the main course. Three driving classes — beginner (with coaching for anyone who wants it), intermediate and advanced. First come, and entry only becomes official once the bank transfer clears. The entry form asks how many passengers will be in each car and the waiver covers 同乗者, so riding along is normal practice here. None of this appears on Okuibuki’s own site, which publishes only its own event list.

About Gransnow Okuibuki / Okuibuki Motorpark
Getting there: Ski resort in Maibara, northern Shiga. Nearest station Ōmi-Nagaoka; the Maichan Bus (¥800, weekdays only, three a day) and the book-by-phone Maichan-go shared taxi both stop at Kōzuhara, about 3 km short of the gate — a regular taxi from the station closes the gap
Circuit fees: Weekday individual run ¥15,000 per person, accepted from three days out, capped near ten people and only when nobody has hired the lot that day. Whole car-park hire ¥60,000–300,000 a day tax included (Lot 4, the JAF-certified 12,000 m² course, is ¥140,000 weekday / ¥300,000 Sunday), pylons free, cash on the day unless prepaid. Season April–November, 8:00–17:00. Booking is web-only since 2026 and the whole season opens at 00:00 JST on 1 March
