Kansai Drift Experience (2026): Meihan Sportsland and Beyond

There are three ways into a drift day in Kansai: watch from the paddock, ride along on an organiser’s run, or drive on one — and in Kansai the calendar decides all three. Meihan is where the word tsuiso, chasing door to door, lives. There is no walk-up free-run there: every car on track is part of an organiser’s day, which as a spectator is exactly what you want. We run here ourselves and know the organisers.

Can I drive a drift car in Kansai without bringing my own?

Not from a rental operator at these circuits as of 2026-09-28: nobody publishes a self-drive hire here. The realistic routes are a passenger ride on an organiser day, a coached day in another region, or shipping your own car. Tell us your dates and we say which applies.

Can I ride as a passenger in a drift car in Kansai?

Not as a published product at these circuits as of 2026-09-28. Organiser days sometimes run passenger laps, and we ask the organiser for you before you travel.

Which circuits count as Kansai for a drift trip?

Meihan Sportsland (Nara), Gransnow Okuibuki / Okuibuki Motorpark (Shiga), Central Circuit (Hyogo). Each one's fees, licence rules, free-run days and access are on its page in our track directory, and the day-by-day official calendars are mirrored in English every morning.
