Drift in Japan — we make it happen
There are three ways to get into drifting in Japan as a visitor: drive a drift car on a real circuit, take the passenger seat on a real drift day — the ride most people mean by “drift taxi” — or stand in the paddock with people who know everyone there. This page covers 12 circuits across 4 regions — Tokyo and Chiba, Nagoya and Aichi, Kansai, and Ebisu in Fukushima, checked 7 September 2026. Tell us your dates and what you want — we arrange the rest.

Three ways to do it
走る・乗る・観る-
Drive
Seat time in a drift car on a circuit with free-run drift sessions. We bring the car to the track, cover fuel and circuit entry, and pick you up from the airport or your hotel. Never drifted before? Say so — the day gets planned around that.
-
Ride along
The passenger seat on a real drift day — the thrill without the licence. We arrange the seat and the day around it. Where the circuit allows it, a partner or friend can ride too.
-
Watch with us
D1, Formula Drift Japan, a matsuri or a grassroots track day — picked for your dates, with someone beside you who can walk you into the paddock and introduce you to the people running.
What we take care of
Handled by us
- The car and getting it to the circuit — plus fuel and circuit entry
- Everything that is Japanese-only: bookings, entry sheets, briefings, paperwork
- Pickup from Narita, Haneda, Chubu or your hotel, and transfers to the track
- Being there on the day — at the gate, in the paddock, on the radio

Requests we've had lately
The kind of thing people send us — so you know yours isn't too small, too big or too strange:
- One driver from South Africa, four days in early December, wants seat time in a drift car at a circuit near Tokyo.
- A visitor from the US with his girlfriend, one Saturday in November — half a day of driving, and passenger laps for her.
- A couple from the Netherlands, two and a half weeks in autumn, want to see the drift community up close — and, quietly, to ride along.
All three are the kind of thing we do. Yours will be different, which is why we don't publish a menu — we reply to what you actually want.
Questions people ask first
Do I need a licence?
To drive, yes — a valid licence from home, and we recommend carrying an International Driving Permit. To ride along or watch, no.
I've never drifted. Is that a problem?
No. Tell us, and the day is planned for a first-timer — the right circuit, the right car setup, and no pressure to look like a D1 driver by lunch.
Can my partner or friend come along?
Usually yes — as a spectator always, and as a passenger where the circuit allows it (a helmet is needed, which we can provide). We confirm the rule for the specific track.
What does it cost?
It depends on what you want — one person for a morning is a different day from a couple with airport transfers and a competition weekend. Send your dates and we'll quote it properly. No obligation.
What if I damage the car?
We go through the damage terms with you in writing before anything is confirmed, so there are no surprises on the day.
How far ahead should I ask?
Six to eight weeks is comfortable. Matsuri weekends and competition rounds fill earlier, so if one of those is the goal, write sooner.
What don't you do?
Package tours, flights and hotels — you keep those bookings and the flexibility that comes with them. And nothing on public roads: drifting happens on circuits.
