What you should know before you go

One of the very few grassroots drift competitions in Japan that prices spectating openly, and the most accessible real drift contest in the window — Meihan is about an hour from Osaka. C course. A full day: 6:20 driver registration, 7:15 briefing, 7:50 practice by prefecture, 9:20 individual Rd.1, 11:10 U25 Rd.1, 12:05 lunch, 13:50 individual Rd.2, 14:30 U25 final, 15:20 individual final, 16:00 triple-run heats, 17:00 awards. Correction to an earlier entry here: the organiser site is alive — the address printed on Meihan’s own schedule sheet, kansaiallatar.web.fc2.com, is a typo for kansaiallstar.

Getting there: Kono-guchi IC (Meihan National Route) +5 min

Circuit fees: No general drift free-run — you join an organiser’s track day (C/D/E courses) or hire the track. Gate ¥500 on Sun/holidays. Closed Thursdays
