ZEKNOVA
Abroad, yes — official distributors in the US, the Netherlands and France, though the UK distributor’s domain is now parked. In Japan, no: the D1 registrant runs its own shop, publishes prices openly to anyone, and all nine Supersport RS sizes read SOLD OUT. The US store was out of stock in every size too. A brand registered for the 2026 season with nothing on the shelf.

The honest answer on nationality is awkward. The company is Japan-registered, the tyre was conceived by D1 champion Naoki Nakamura, and the US distributor says it is designed, engineered and tested in Japan. But no Zeknova page anywhere states where the tyres are actually built, and the maker’s own founding history describes production being realised through the founder’s China-facing business network. We would not call it Japanese-made, and the Taiwan story that circulates has no source at all.

What owners report
Every ZEKNOVA tyre review on Minkara, Japan's largest car-owner community — 8 reviews read 14–16 September 2026, counted rather than picked. “Fitted to” counts only reviews that mention drifting and say which axle; “chunking” counts reviews that mention it at all, split by whether the owner says it happened. Stars are Minkara's own 0–5 rating. Owner reports, not tests.

Eight reviews across the range, three of them drift. Too few to count.
Buying ZEKNOVA from Japan
Tyres are heavy and the cheap lanes close to them, so we buy domestically and quote the freight as one total — and tell you when buying locally beats importing. Send us the size and compound you want.
