You have a build to finish and a list of Japanese parts, and every forum thread argues about what they “should” cost. This is what they did cost: 2,303 completed sales on Yahoo! Auctions Japan, read on 24 September 2026, for 48 of the parts drifters here buy most — engines, LSDs, gearboxes, coilovers, seats, wheels and aero. Sold prices only, median and middle-half range, in yen and dollars. You cannot buy on Yahoo! from abroad — so every row has a button that asks us to buy it for you, with one landed total before we bid.

Auctions needs a Japanese address, a Japanese account and Japanese payment, and half the sellers of engines, gearboxes and aero write 個人宅配送不可 or 店頭引取のみ — business address only, or collect in person. How to read this, and what it leaves out
Each row is one Yahoo! Auctions search, restricted to the right part category (engine bodies, differentials, full coilover kits, seat shells, sets of four wheels), keeping only listings that actually sold to a bidder. The median is the middle sale; the middle half is where most sales landed; low and high are the extremes, which include rough cores and mint new-old-stock alike. Rows with fewer than 5 sales are flagged thin. Mercari and shop stock are not counted, private drift-scene sales never appear anywhere, and a Yahoo sale price is before domestic shipping, our fee and international freight.
Questions people ask before they write
Where do these prices come from?
Yahoo! Auctions Japan, the marketplace most used Japanese drift parts pass through. We read the closed-auction results (sold listings only, roughly the last 120 days) for each part on 24 September 2026, drop Yahoo Shopping catalogue items and anything outside the right category, and report the median with the middle-half range. Asking prices are never used.
Is the median what I would pay?
It is what Japanese buyers paid for the part itself. Add domestic shipping to us, our fee, packing and international freight — engines, gearboxes and cages ship by sea or crated air, and the freight often matches the part. Send us the row and we reply with one landed total, in yen and dollars at ¥160 to $1, before anything is bought.
Why is the number of sales so small for engines?
Complete SR20DET or 1JZ engines change hands a few times a month on Yahoo, and we only count listings in the engine-body category with a real sale, so a month can show single digits. We publish the count next to every median; below five sales we show the figure but flag it as thin.
Can I buy these on Yahoo! Auctions myself from overseas?
No — Yahoo! Auctions needs a Japanese address, account and payment, and many sellers of the big items ship only to a business address or want collection in person. We buy for you: tell us the part, your ceiling and your country; we find the live listings, bid, collect and inspect in Japan, drain and crate what needs it, and ship. You approve one landed total before we bid.
How often is this updated?
Monthly, on the 1st. Each month keeps its own file, so from the second month on every row shows how the median moved.
