What you should know before you go
A barbecue-centred practice day in the temporary car park, run by the Saitama shop PITMAN: skidpad, figure-eight, kick and handbrake entries and chase runs, free running all day for 13 cars. Assembly 8:00, briefing 8:30, running from 9:00. Entries close 12 Oct.

About Gunma Cycle Sports Center
Getting there: Niimaki Ōmineyama, Minakami, Tone District, Gunma. Tel 0278-64-1811. Course hire runs 9:00–16:00 with no running 12:00–13:00; the booking desk is open 10:00–18:00 and closed Mondays and Fridays
Circuit fees: There is no individual entry — the whole point is hire, so you either rent a course or join a shop’s event on one. Normal season (Mar–Nov) weekday day rates: full 6 km course ¥440,000, A course ¥176,000, B course ¥204,600, C course ¥330,000, new multipurpose square ¥94,600 (or ¥50,000 for a three-hour slot). Weekend and holiday rates run roughly half again higher, and winter (Dec–Feb) is cheaper. Groups of 20 or more get group rates
