What to know before you go

The cheaper of the two Japan Sea drift venues and the one with a real competition calendar — D1 NEXT Middle West Rd.3 ran here on 20 Sep 2026, with an official practice day the Saturday before at which straight-through exhausts were barred. The step that catches visitors is the briefing: every running day carries the note 「初走行の方は講習がありますので必ず事前予約を行なってください」 and the 初走行講習予約フォーム closes at 16:00 the day before, so a first-timer cannot simply turn up. Noise ceiling is 110 dB near-exhaust by the JASMA method, and straight-through exhausts are refused entry to the site outright — neither an inner silencer nor a catalytic converter counts as a silencer. Rally tyres have been banned in free running since 19 Nov 2014. No cars are hired: the rental kart and go-kart operation ended in 2026 and nothing replaced it, so you bring your own dorisha. No English page anywhere on the site.
