Chiba Drift Experience Near Tokyo (2026): Drive, Ride or Watch

There are three ways into a drift car within reach of Tokyo: drive on a circuit’s own drift day, ride along on someone else’s run, or watch a real drift day from the paddock. Most “Tokyo drift experiences” actually happen in Chiba — two circuits within about 1.5 hours of the city run proper drift days, and the competition venues around Tokyo host D1 and Formula Drift rounds through the autumn.   The newest drift pad in Japan and the closest to Tokyo, under Mt Fuji. Hosts D1 NEXT and FDJ3 rounds.

  Classic grassroots drift track two hours north. Organiser-run days; a great place to watch locals run door to door.
