Chiba Drift Experience Near Tokyo (2026): Chiba, Tochigi & Fuji
There are three ways into a drift car within reach of Tokyo: drive on a circuit’s own drift day, ride along on someone else’s run, or watch a real drift day from the paddock. Most “Tokyo drift experiences” actually happen in Chiba — two circuits within about 1.5 hours of the city run proper drift days, and the competition venues around Tokyo host D1 and Formula Drift rounds through the autumn. We know which day to point you at.

Can I drive a drift car in Tokyo & Chiba without bringing my own?
Yes. 4 operators rent drift cars at Minami Chiba Circuit and Fuji Speedway Drift Park and Nikko Circuit, from ¥4,400 (US$28) per person on published rates checked 2026-09-28. We match the car to a circuit day you can actually enter and send the booking in Japanese; the car and the track day are two separate bookings.
Can I ride as a passenger in a drift car in Tokyo & Chiba?
Yes. Ride-along seats are sold at Minami Chiba Circuit and Fuji Speedway Drift Park and Nikko Circuit and Mobara Twin Circuit and Tsukuruma Circuit Nasu, from ¥500 (US$3) per person on published rates checked 2026-09-28. Seats are limited and sell out on big weekends, so this is booked ahead, not asked for at the fence.
