The Rundown

  • ORIGIN Labo.'s own site lists 29 support drivers on 30 September 2026, two on major contracts: Naoki Nakamura (Nara, S13 Silvia; the maker credits him with the D1 Grand Prix 2024 double championship and the 2021 title) and Kazuya Bai (Osaka, 180SX, SR20 at 700 PS; D1 Grand Prix 2015 series third).
  • By chassis, the roster is 9 S13 Silvias, 6 S15s, 3 180SXs, 2 S14s and 2 JZX100s, with 7 drivers whose car is not shown on the page; two of the S13 drivers, Jason Bostrom and Julian Jacobs, are based in the USA.
  • Six roster drivers appear in the 2026 results TSUISO tracks (data built 28 September 2026): Naoki Nakamura is third in D1 Grand Prix after Rd.5 Ebisu by our points sum and fifth in Formula Drift Japan projected after Rd.5 Okuibuki; Kazumi Takahashi (JZX100 Mark II, 4-litre V6 twin turbo, 900 PS) leads Formula Drift Japan projected after Rd.5; Riki Nakamura (S13, born 2012) leads FDJ2 after Rd.5.
  • Also in the 2026 sheets: Ryu Nakamura (S13, born 2006) ran D1 Grand Prix battles at Tsukuba and Ebisu, Akihito Fujio (S13) was second at D1 Lights Rd.4 Meihan and Top 4 at Rd.8 Bihoku, and Daiki Nishiyama (S15) reached the battles at D1 Grand Prix Tsukuba.
  • The maker's product pages state that the Drift Line series was designed under Naoki Nakamura's supervision; the parts the roster's S13s, S15s, 180SXs and JZX100s wear are the same catalogue TSUISO sells new, 1,089 parts at the export price as of 30 September 2026.

ORIGIN Labo. lists 29 support drivers on its own site as of 30 September 2026, and three of them are at the sharp end of the 2026 season by our count: Naoki Nakamura third in D1 Grand Prix after Rd.5, Kazumi Takahashi leading Formula Drift Japan after Rd.5, and Riki Nakamura leading FDJ2 after Rd.5. This page is the roster as the maker publishes it, the cars and engines it names, and what those drivers have done this year in the results TSUISO tracks. The point for a buyer is not that a kit makes you fast; it is knowing which chassis the maker builds around and how hard its parts get used.

Every roster fact here was checked on the official pages on 30 September 2026 (ORIGIN Labo.’s DRIVERS page); the 2026 results are TSUISO’s own round-by-round sheets, built 28 September 2026, with standings marked as our arithmetic where the series had not published a table.

Nakamura is also the name on the product pages: the maker states its Drift Line series was designed under his supervision, which is why the Drift Line S13 page carries his design note in the maker’s own words. His D1 Grand Prix season so far is in our Ebisu Rd.5 and 6 report and the FDJ side in the Okuibuki Rd.5 report.

TSUISO builds a results sheet for every D1 Grand Prix, D1 Lights, D1 NEXT and Formula Drift Japan round; six roster names appear in it as of 28 September 2026.

  • Kazumi Takahashi (JZX100 Mark II) leads Formula Drift Japan on our projection after Rd.5 Okuibuki, with battle appearances in every round we have. A 900 PS four-door leading the national series is the single best advertisement the maker has this year.
  • Riki Nakamura (S13) leads FDJ2 on our total after Rd.5 Okuibuki, reaching the battles at Ebisu West and SUGO and the Top 16 at Okuibuki. He was born in 2012.
  • Naoki Nakamura (S13) is third in D1 Grand Prix by our points sum after Rd.5 Ebisu, with a Top 4 at Rd.2 Aichi, and fifth in Formula Drift Japan on our projection with a third place at Rd.4 SUGO.
  • Akihito Fujio (S13) was second at D1 Lights Rd.4 Meihan and Top 4 at Rd.8 Bihoku.
  • Ryu Nakamura (S13) and Daiki Nishiyama (S15) both reached the battles at D1 Grand Prix Tsukuba; Ryu did so again at Ebisu.

Where a series has not published a standings table we say so in the sheet and mark the number as our arithmetic; the linked reports carry the full grids.

What this tells a buyer, and what it does not

It tells you which chassis the maker develops around: the S13 first, then the S15, 180SX, S14 and JZX100, which is exactly the order of depth in the catalogue. It tells you the parts are run in contact series every round, which is the only real durability test for FRP. It does not tell you a kit will make your car faster; the maker does not claim that, and neither do we. What the roster’s cars wear is the same catalogue TSUISO sells new, from the S13 page and the JZX100 Mark II page to the rest, at the export price in the 2026 price list.

Start from the chassis, and we take it from there

Tell us the chassis and year, the line you like on the maker's cars, and your country. We confirm the fitment and the maker's lead time and quote one landed total with the crate before anything is ordered. Send your chassis and we quote the parts the roster runs.

Where the names come from

The roster, bases, cars, engines and past records are the maker’s own DRIVERS page, read 30 September 2026, and are reproduced as stated there; birth years are from the same page. The 2026 results are TSUISO’s round reports, each built from the organiser’s published results and marked where a standing is our own sum. We have not asked the drivers anything for this article.

Frequently asked questions

Who drives for ORIGIN Labo. in 2026?

As of 30 September 2026 the maker's own DRIVERS page lists 29 support drivers with two contract levels. The major contracts are Naoki Nakamura (Nara, S13 Silvia) and Kazuya Bai (Osaka, 180SX). The support list includes Ryu Nakamura and Riki Nakamura (S13), Akihito Fujio (S13), Kazumi Takahashi (JZX100 Mark II), Daiki Nishiyama, Ryusei Akiba, Toshihiro Maehara, Hiroyuki Yasue, Nao Horiguchi and Toni Arakaki (S15), Yasuhiro Takaki and Nodoka Nakane (180SX), Takumi Yokota and Kyoko Nakajima (S14), Erisa Fujita (JZX100 Chaser), Masakazu Doi, Sora Baba, KITTAN, Jason Bostrom and Julian Jacobs (S13), Junji Yamamoto, Momo Yuura, Toshihiro Tanaka, Ryusei Taniguchi, Jimmy Oakes, Takeshi Motegi and Manato Motegi.

Is Naoki Nakamura sponsored by ORIGIN Labo.?

Yes. ORIGIN Labo. lists Naoki Nakamura as one of its two major-contract drivers as of 30 September 2026, based in Nara in an S13 Silvia, and credits him on that page with the D1 Grand Prix 2024 double championship, the 2021 D1 Grand Prix title, third at Drift Masters Sweden 2023 and three D1 Street Legal wins. The maker's product pages also state that its Drift Line aero series was designed under his supervision. In 2026 he is third in D1 Grand Prix after Rd.5 Ebisu by TSUISO's points sum and fifth in Formula Drift Japan projected after Rd.5 Okuibuki.

Which cars do ORIGIN Labo. drivers drift?

Mostly Nissan S-chassis. Of the 29 drivers on the maker's page on 30 September 2026, 9 run S13 Silvias, 6 S15s, 3 180SXs and 2 S14s; two run JZX100s (Kazumi Takahashi's Mark II with a 4-litre V6 twin turbo at 900 PS and Erisa Fujita's Chaser with a 1.5JZ at 450 PS). Engines named on the page range from 360 to 450 PS SR20s in the 180SXs and S15s to Ryusei Akiba's 3.1-litre 2JZ at 850 PS and Kazuya Bai's 700 PS SR20.

Does running the same ORIGIN Labo. kit make a car faster?

No, and the maker does not claim it. Aero on a drift car is about the look, clearing wide fenders and surviving contact; the results above come from the drivers and the mechanical builds behind them. What the roster tells a buyer is which chassis the maker develops around (S13, S15, 180SX, S14 and JZX100 on 30 September 2026) and that the parts are run hard in D1 Grand Prix, Formula Drift Japan and D1 Lights every round, which is a fair test of how they take a hit.
