The 2027 D1 Grand Prix runs on five weekends from 29–30 May to 27–28 November 2027, and three venues are fixed: Tsukuba Circuit (Ibaraki) on 26–27 June, Ebisu Circuit (Fukushima) on 25–26 September and Autopolis (Oita) on 23–24 October. The opening weekend and the finale are still venue T.B.A. We checked the official D1 page on 10 October 2026; D1 published it on 3 October 2026 as a 暫定スケジュール (zantei sukejūru, provisional schedule), so any date can still move.

That is the calendar. What follows is the part a schedule page does not tell you: which of these gates you can reach from a train, and where a trip from abroad usually stalls.

What are the D1 Grand Prix 2027 dates and venues?

Here is every 2027 round as D1 lists it, with the car-free route for each confirmed venue taken from the circuits’ own access pages.

The same page lists two exhibition events that carry no championship points. Kick Off Drift is set for 16–17 January 2027 at Makuhari Messe (Chiba), and RD.0 D1 Festival has no date, venue or prefecture yet. The table heading on the page reads “2025 D1 EXHIBITION”, but it sits under the 2027 calendar with 2027 dates. Makuhari Messe is the easy one: its access page puts it about a 5-minute walk from Kaihimmakuhari Station, roughly 30 minutes from Tokyo by JR Keiyo Line rapid. All of it is on our event calendar.

How does 2027 compare with the 2026 season?

Three of the five 2026 venues return in almost the same slots. Tsukuba kept late June, Ebisu late September and Autopolis late October. The 2026 opener was at Aichi Sky Expo (Aichi) on 8–10 May, and the 2026 final ran in Odaiba, Tokyo, on 14–15 November. For 2027, both of those slots are T.B.A., and the season starts and ends later: the opener moves to 29–30 May and the final to 27–28 November.

Venue2026 dates2027 dates
Opener8–10 May, Aichi Sky Expo (Aichi)29–30 May, T.B.A.
Tsukuba Circuit (Ibaraki)26–28 June26–27 June
Ebisu Circuit (Fukushima)25–27 September25–26 September
Autopolis (Oita)23–25 October23–24 October
Final14–15 November, Odaiba (Tokyo)27–28 November, T.B.A.

One difference to note: the 2026 series table showed three-day windows that included a Friday. The 2027 page lists only Saturday and Sunday for each round and says nothing yet about Friday practice. Do not assume Odaiba again for the final. D1 has not said where it will be. Our 2026 rounds and venues guide has the full 2026 season for comparison.

Can you get to each confirmed 2027 venue without a car?

Tsukuba Circuit (Ibaraki). The circuit’s own access page gives one rail route: Akihabara to Moriya on the Tsukuba Express, the Kanto Railway Joso Line to Sodo Station, then a taxi of about 6 km, which it puts at 15 minutes. In 2026, D1 sold its own return bus from Moriya Station for the Tsukuba round, 40 seats a day, and it sold out for both days. Whether it runs in 2027 is not announced. Our Tsukuba Circuit guide covers the station end in detail.

Ebisu Circuit (Fukushima). Take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Koriyama and a JR local to Nihonmatsu. From there, Fukushima Kotsu route 16-1 runs to Safari Park-mae for ¥500 in 28 minutes. On weekdays the first bus leaves at 11:23; the weekend timetable starts earlier. The other option is a taxi of about 20 minutes, booked by phone. Both timetables are in our route to Ebisu Circuit from Tokyo.

Autopolis (Oita). This is the hard one. The circuit’s FAQ says shuttle buses run from Kumamoto City and Hita City when a big event is on, and that at ordinary times you come by car or taxi. For the 2026 D1 round, no shuttle had been announced on the D1 or Autopolis pages when we checked on 30 September 2026. Our Autopolis D1 tickets and access guide has the interchanges and the 2026 numbers.

Where does a D1 trip from abroad usually stall?

At the ticket order, months before you reach a gate. For 2026, the Ebisu and Autopolis rounds both sold through Lawson Ticket. Lawson Ticket’s own FAQ says its phone verification accepts Japanese mobile numbers only, starting 090, 080, 070 or 060, and cannot be done from outside Japan. D1 did add a separate “overseas only” entry for the 2026 Autopolis round. Seats also go fast: every reserved category for the 2026 Ebisu round was marked sold out by 4 September 2026, two days after general sales opened. Then comes the last leg at each venue, which is a taxi or a mountain drive you arrange in Japanese.

The order form and the last leg are both in Japanese

For a D1 weekend, the steps that stop most visitors are a Japanese ticket order on sale day and a ride from the station or the airport to a circuit that has no scheduled bus. We take that chain on and travel with you. Plan a D1GP 2027 weekend with us: tickets, getting to the gate and a drift day of your own.

When will 2027 tickets go on sale?

D1 has not said. No 2027 prices, sale dates or ticket links were on the official page on 10 October 2026. For reference, D1 posted the 2026 Autopolis prices on 23 September 2026, about a month before that round, and opened general sales on 1 October. How D1 sells seats, and what each tier gets you, is in our D1 Grand Prix spectator guide. We will update this page when D1 names the two T.B.A. venues or publishes ticket details.

Frequently asked questions

When does the 2027 D1 Grand Prix season start?

The 2027 D1 Grand Prix championship starts with Rd.1 and Rd.2 on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May 2027, according to the provisional schedule D1 published on 3 October 2026. The venue for that opening weekend is listed as T.B.A. Before the championship, the exhibition event Kick Off Drift is listed for 16–17 January 2027 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. All dates are provisional and may change without notice, as of 10 October 2026.

Where is the D1 Grand Prix 2027 final?

The venue of the D1 Grand Prix 2027 final has not been announced. The provisional schedule D1 published on 3 October 2026 lists the last weekend as Rd.9 (with Rd.10 planned) on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November 2027, venue and prefecture T.B.A., with the JAF calendar application still pending. The 2026 final ran in Odaiba, Tokyo, on 14–15 November 2026, but D1 has not said where the 2027 final will be. As of 10 October 2026.

Is D1 Grand Prix coming back to Ebisu Circuit in 2027?

Yes. The provisional 2027 D1 Grand Prix schedule, published by D1 on 3 October 2026, lists Rd.5 and Rd.6 at Ebisu Circuit in Fukushima Prefecture on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September 2027. That is the same late-September slot Ebisu held in 2026, when Rd.5 and Rd.6 ran on 26–27 September. Tickets and prices for the 2027 Ebisu round had not been published as of 10 October 2026, and the dates may still change.

Which D1 Grand Prix 2027 venues can I reach without a car?

Of the three confirmed D1 Grand Prix 2027 venues, two work without a car if you accept a final taxi or bus leg. Tsukuba Circuit (Ibaraki, 26–27 June 2027) publishes a route from Akihabara by Tsukuba Express and the Kanto Railway Joso Line to Sodo Station, then a taxi of about 6 km. Ebisu Circuit (Fukushima, 25–26 September 2027) is reached via Nihonmatsu Station and a taxi or the ¥500 Fukushima Kotsu 16-1 bus. Autopolis (Oita, 23–24 October 2027) says shuttles run only for big events and otherwise you come by car or taxi. As of 10 October 2026.
