UP GARAGE & Croooober from Overseas: What You Can Buy (2026)

By Published Apr 1, 2026 Updated Oct 6, 2026 6 min read

The Rundown

  • UP GARAGE's Japanese FAQ sends every overseas buyer to its English site; that site takes PayPal only, and PayPal Credit works only in Japanese yen (checked 6 Oct 2026).
  • An English-site order goes through only when a shipping price to your country shows on the item page; it leaves 2–3 business days after payment and cannot be cancelled, exchanged or returned.
  • As of 6 Oct 2026, UP GARAGE says coilovers are on its prohibited export list and it no longer arranges their overseas delivery.
  • Every listing sits in a physical store: holds are by phone only, for 2 business days including the day you call, and the same stock is sold over the counter at the same time.
  • Phone and email orders ended on 30 September 2025; you buy through the online shop or at the counter.

Yes, you can buy from UP GARAGE (the chain that absorbed Croooober) from outside Japan, but only through its English site, and only for listings that show a shipping price to your country. As of 6 October 2026 that store takes PayPal only, will not cancel, exchange or take back an order, and no longer exports coilovers at all. Anything it won’t ship is still sitting on a shelf in one specific store, where it can be held for just 2 business days, by phone.

You found it. A pair of used bucket seats, a set of wheels, a turbo, listed at an UP GARAGE branch in a prefecture you can’t pronounce. The question isn’t whether Japan has the part. It’s whether this store will sell it to someone in Melbourne or Ohio. Everything below was checked on the official pages on 6 October 2026, in both the English and Japanese FAQs, because the two say different things.

Which UP GARAGE site do you actually order from?

UP GARAGE runs two storefronts over one inventory. The Japanese online shop sells to Japanese addresses with Japanese payment rails: VISA, Mastercard, JCB and American Express cards, convenience-store payment, Pay-easy and cash on delivery. Its FAQ answers the overseas question in one line: customers who want shipping abroad should use the UP GARAGE Group’s English site.

The English site is the old Croooober role. It runs an online shipping calculator on every item page, and its rule is strict: if no shipping cost shows for your country, the order cannot be processed. The FAQ gives two reasons a price goes missing. The carriers can’t deliver to you, or the item is too big for them. We covered the size side in shipping oversized JDM parts.

English site (overseas)

  • Ships abroad by DHL, FedEx, EMS or Surface
  • PayPal only
  • Only items with a shipping price for your country
  • No cancellations, exchanges or returns

Japanese shop (domestic)

  • Japanese addresses and in-store pickup only
  • Cards, convenience store, Pay-easy, COD
  • Pickup at your nearest store; large items excluded
  • Returns and cancellations go to the selling store

What will the English store refuse to send you?

More than most buyers expect. The headline one is new and easy to miss: UP GARAGE’s FAQ says coilovers are on its prohibited list of export items and it is no longer able to arrange their overseas delivery. If you came here from our used coilovers guide, that rule changes which listings are realistic for you.

The rest are house rules that bite on drift parts:

  • No shipping price, no order. The FAQ invites you to report a possible system error, but it won’t quote by hand.
  • Sets stay sets. You can’t buy one headlight or half a wheel set, even at full price.
  • No modifications. Staff won’t remove or disassemble anything to shrink a bumper or side step.
  • Wheels and tyres follow the category. A set listed under “Rim” ships without the tyres in the photos. Under “Rim and Tire Set” you can ask for the tyres off to save shipping, except on wheels over 20 inches, and the price stays the same.
  • No country support. The delivery table marks China as not available on every method.

Questions come before the order

UP GARAGE's English FAQ says questions about condition, fitment and extra photos must be asked before you order. Once the order is placed, no claims are accommodated and it can't be cancelled. Stock isn't updated in real time either, so a paid order can still be cancelled by the store if the part sold over the counter first.

How long does delivery take, and what do you pay?

The checkout total is the item plus shipping, and nothing else. Duties and taxes are paid on delivery in your country, and the FAQ says UP GARAGE can’t lower the declared value or mark a parcel as a gift. It won’t print a third-party shipping label for you either. Orders leave 2–3 business days after payment. From the official delivery table:

CountryDHL / FedEx / EMSSALSurface
USA3–10 daysabout 3–4 weeks4–6 weeks
Canada3–10 daysabout 3–4 weeks2–3 months
Australia4–10 daysabout 2–3 weeks2–3 months
Singapore2–7 daysabout 2–3 weeks1–2 months

Pick the method carefully. The FAQ says the shipping method can’t be changed once the order is placed, and Surface parcels have no tracking while they’re on the ship.

What about a part that only lives in one store?

This is where most overseas buyers get stuck. Every UP GARAGE listing is physical stock in a named branch, and the counter sells it at the same time as the website. The Japanese FAQ sets the rules:

  1. Holds are by phone only. A phone hold lasts 2 business days, counting the day you call. Email holds aren’t accepted.
  2. Condition questions go to the store. The Japanese FAQ sends detailed condition queries to the branch holding the part, not a central desk.
  3. Phone and email orders are gone. Since 30 September 2025 you can buy only through the online shop or at the counter.
  4. Store pickup excludes large items. Online orders can be sent to your nearest branch, but large items aren’t covered, and the transfer shipping is yours to pay at a rate each store sets.

So when the English calculator shows nothing, the part is still for sale. It’s just for sale in Japanese, by phone, to someone who can pay on Japanese rails and stand in front of the shelf. The step that stops you isn’t money. It’s that nobody in Japan has checked the item before you pay for something you can’t return.

The step we take on

We're in Japan. We call the store, ask for the hold, go to the branch and check the part on the shelf, then send you photo and video walkthroughs before you decide. If you go ahead, we buy it, pack it and export it. Send us the UP GARAGE item number and we'll check the part in the store.

How does that compare with a proxy?

A proxy buys with a Japanese address, so it would be ordering from the Japanese storefront. That moves the part onto Japanese rails, but it doesn’t put a person in the store, and UP GARAGE’s own rules on sets, modifications and returns still apply. Our proxy comparison covers proxy fees and size caps; check your proxy’s prohibited-items list before assuming it can forward what UP GARAGE won’t.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy from UP GARAGE if I live outside Japan?

Yes, through UP GARAGE's English site, which its Japanese FAQ names as the route for anyone who wants overseas shipping. As of 6 October 2026 the English store takes PayPal only, ships by DHL Express, FedEx, EMS or Surface mail, and can process an order only when a shipping price to your country is shown on the item page. Orders cannot be cancelled or exchanged, used parts carry no warranty, and returns are not accepted.

Is Croooober the same as UP GARAGE?

Croooober was UP GARAGE's used-parts store, and the croooober.com address now forwards into UP GARAGE's own domain (we saw it redirect to ec.upgarage.com on 6 October 2026). Overseas buyers now order through UP GARAGE's English site, which as of 6 October 2026 accepts PayPal only and ships by DHL Express, FedEx, EMS or Surface mail.

Does UP GARAGE ship coilovers overseas?

No. UP GARAGE's English FAQ, checked on 6 October 2026, says coilovers are on its prohibited list of export items and it is no longer able to arrange their overseas delivery. So a coilover set listed at an UP GARAGE store cannot be bought through the English site; check before you plan around it.

Can UP GARAGE hold a part for me while I arrange payment?

Only by phone. UP GARAGE's Japanese FAQ, checked on 6 October 2026, says a hold requested by phone lasts 2 business days including the day of the call, holds by email are not accepted, and because the same stock is also sold in the store, the part may already be gone when the shop checks the shelf. Phone and email orders themselves ended on 30 September 2025.

Can I return a part I bought from UP GARAGE overseas?

No. As of 6 October 2026 UP GARAGE's English FAQ says it does not accept returns, used parts come with no warranty, and orders cannot be cancelled. The only claims it handles are a wrong or incomplete item, reported with photos of the outer and inner packaging within 7 days of delivery, and transit damage, which you file first with the carrier in your country.
