| BN Sports aero (any piece) | 11 | ¥34,000 ($213) | ¥21,500 to ¥66,000 | ¥10,500 to ¥276,000 |
Read the median as “something for the front of the car”, not “a bumper”. A search for a front bumper also returns lips, ducts and anti-sag plates. In the S13 and 180SX rows, 25 sales were FRP lips and bumpers from one repeating title series (GE極上), each titled 純正形状 (factory shape). That means a copy of the Nissan part’s shape in FRP, not a Nissan part.
At the top sit the genuine factory-option bumpers. S15 option bumpers sold for ¥200,000, ¥230,000 and ¥324,000. An S13 option bumper titled 割れ欠けなし (no cracks or chips) went for ¥300,000.

Is a used bumper cheaper than a new one?
Often, yes, before shipping. New prices from the makers, checked on 4 October 2026, all tax included:
| New front bumper | Price (tax incl.) |
|---|---|
| ORIGIN Labo. Drift Line, S14 zenki | ¥45,760 ($286) |
| BN Sports DEFEND, S14 Silvia | ¥73,370 ($459) |
| BN Sports 100 CHASER TYPE-1, JZX100 | ¥79,695 ($498) |
ORIGIN Labo. prices the same ¥45,760 for its main front bumper lines across S13, S14, S15, 180SX and JZX100. Every model is on our new ORIGIN Labo. S14 page. If the cheap listing you found is an ORIGIN piece, check it against genuine ORIGIN Labo. vs “Origin style” replicas first.
What goes wrong with a used bumper?
Five problems show up again and again in the listing titles.
Check before you bid
- Cracks and old repairs. Four titles said 割れあり (cracked), 要補修 (needs repair), 補修品 or 補修ベース (repaired, or a base for repair) or ボロ (rough). FRP cracks hide under fresh paint, so ask for the back face.
- Replica or genuine. 純正 means factory. 社外 means aftermarket. 純正形状, 風 and コピー mean a copy. One S15 bumper sold for ¥50,000 was titled as a copy of a GP SPORTS design.
- Zenki or kouki. The S14 front changed at the facelift. 8 S14 titles said 前期 (zenki, early) and 9 said 後期 (kouki, late). ORIGIN Labo. sells separate bumpers for each.
- Cut for an intercooler. 3 JZX100 titles said カット有り (cut). Uncut ones are sold as a feature: カット無し titles went for ¥59,800 and ¥129,000.
- Missing brackets and reinforcement. JZX100 reinforcement bars (リインホースメント) sold on their own for ¥5,200 and ¥6,000. Ask what is included: bar, brackets, grilles, fog lights.

The listing words themselves (ジャンク, 現状渡し, ノークレーム・ノーリターン) are decoded in what ジャンク means on Yahoo! Auctions.
Can a front bumper be posted from Japan?
A lip or duct, often yes. A full bumper, usually not by EMS. Japan Post’s EMS limit is 1.5 m long and 30 kg to the US, UK and Canada (length plus girth 2.75 m for the US, 3 m for the others). To Australia and Germany it is 1.05 m. An S15 Silvia is 1,695 mm wide, and the bumper covers the nose corner to corner.
Inside Japan, the seller’s box is the first limit. Yamato’s 宅急便 stops at 200 cm (length plus width plus height) and 30 kg, ゆうパック at 170 cm and 25 kg. ORIGIN Labo.’s own S14 bumper ships as a 220-size oversized item, only to a business address or a Seino Transportation branch, and its store advises against home delivery because the fee is very high.
The courier, crate and sea options are in shipping aero from Japan: the oversized problem, and the route comparison is in EMS vs courier vs sea.
Which buying route fits you?
| Route | What you pay | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest DIY: proxy bid, ships as-is | Sold price + proxy fees + domestic shipping + export freight | Works for lips, ducts and listings that ship to a home address. You see only the seller’s photos |
| Sourced and handled | Actual costs (part, domestic collection, crate, freight) + our fee, total quoted upfront | The actual part checked in Japan before the balance is paid, and packed for long-format freight |
Duty depends on your country. See the import duty guide.
Where do overseas buyers get stuck?
At collection. 11 of the 159 bumper listings said 引き取り限定 or 直接取引限定: pickup in person only, from places like Aomori and Chiba. One more said 個人宅配送不可, no delivery to a private home. Yahoo! Auctions lets a seller set 手渡し (hand-over) as the only delivery method, and lets large items quote shipping after the sale. From abroad, no proxy can stand in a seller’s garage and load a bumper nearly as wide as the car.
We take the collection step
We collect the bumper from the seller or the freight depot, check it in Japan and send you photos and a walk-through video of the actual part (back face, tabs, repairs, cuts, maker marks) before you pay the balance. Then we pack it for long-format freight. Have us collect, check and pack your used bumper or aero kit.
A used bumper is good value when it is genuine, uncracked, complete and shippable. Check those four things, and the median price in the table is the price you actually pay.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a used S14 front bumper in Japan?
On Yahoo! Auctions, S14 Silvia front bumper searches closed at a median ¥23,500 (about $147) across 22 sales in the roughly 120 days to 1 October 2026, with the middle half between ¥8,375 and ¥31,950. Genuine Nissan S14 bumpers in that sample sold for ¥22,000 to ¥60,000, and FRP aftermarket bumpers from about ¥5,000 to ¥52,000. A new ORIGIN Labo. FRP S14 front bumper lists at ¥45,760 including tax, as of 4 October 2026.
Can a front bumper be posted from Japan by EMS?
Usually not as a full bumper. As of 4 October 2026, Japan Post's EMS limit is 1.5 m in length and 30 kg for the US, UK and Canada, and 1.05 m for Australia and Germany. A front bumper spans the nose of the car, and an S15 Silvia is 1,695 mm wide by Nissan's own figures, so a full bumper is normally past the length limit. Lips, ducts and brackets often fit, and full bumpers leave Japan by courier freight or sea instead.
Is it worth buying a used aero kit from Japan?
It can be, if you know what you are buying. As of 4 October 2026, used front bumpers for the S13, S14, S15, 180SX and JZX100 sold for medians of ¥15,000 to ¥36,000 on Yahoo! Auctions, while new branded FRP front bumpers list at ¥45,760 (ORIGIN Labo. S14) to ¥79,695 (BN Sports JZX100 Chaser TYPE-1), tax included. The used price saves money only if the part is genuine, uncracked and complete, and if the seller will ship it.
How do I avoid buying a replica or damaged FRP bumper on Yahoo! Auctions?
Read the title and ask before bidding. In Yahoo! Auctions front bumper sales to 1 October 2026, titles used 純正 (genuine), 社外 (aftermarket), 純正形状 (made in the shape of the factory part, not a factory part), 風 or コピー (a copy of another maker's design), and カット有り or 補修 (cut or repaired). Ask for photos of the back face, the mounting tabs and any maker sticker, and ask in Japanese whether there are cracks or repairs. As of 4 October 2026, about 1 in 15 listings was pickup only.
